The Mumbai Police will issue a notice to Ranveer Singh regarding a case that has been filed against the actor for a photo shoot in a foreign magazine. Due to some naked photos he posted on his Instagram page on July 22; the Gully Boy actor is at the centre of a discussion about what exactly qualifies as obscenity.

In Mumbai, he is also the subject of an FIR after an NGO filed a complaint, claiming that he had “hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty through his photographs.” The FIR claimed that India has a “good culture,” but these images have hurt everyone’s feelings. It claimed that many people, including young people, famous people, and others, follow the Bollywood actor popular with many different groups.

However, several others have spoken out while the actor has remained silent.

According to an official, the Mumbai Police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the Bollywood actor on July 26 due to his nude social media posts. A complaint about him was made to the city’s Chembur police by a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with headquarters in Mumbai.

According to a representative of the Chembur police station, the police used this information to file an FIR against Ranveer Singh under the Indian Penal Code Sections 292, 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), and provisions of the Information Technology Act.
